Only 57% of the UK’s electronic waste is recycled, leaving around 450,000 tonnes thrown away each year instead of being reused or recovered.

Contributing to a circular economy

BornGood is challenging the disposable attitude towards single-life technology and giving it a new lease of life in a greener, safer and more rewarding way.

We are aligned to the Government's IT Reuse for Good charter which promotes a ‘reuse first’ approach to IT assets (like laptops and smartphones) and is an opportunity for organisations to give their devices a second-life by refurbishing and gifting them to someone who is digitally excluded.

Our Mission

We believe the world can be more sustainable, and we’ve made it our goal to improve the lifecycle of IT devices so much that it makes a real difference to businesses, individuals, communities, and the planet.

What is Circular Economics?

Circular economics in IT means moving away from a “buy, use, dispose” model and instead managing technology so devices are used for as long as possible through repair, redeployment, and refurbishment.

Rather than defaulting to replacement and recycling, organisations actively track, reuse, and securely re-issue equipment, treating IT as a long-life asset rather than a consumable.

Done properly, this reduces costs and risk while delivering measurable environmental benefits by cutting carbon and electronic waste.

Together, we can extend the life of technology and take a more considered approach to the Earth’s finite resources
