Step-by-step instructions

Please follow the below instructions when you receive your laptop. These instructions must be followed, and the steps completed as soon as you receive the device and should be finished as in advance of your induction as possible.

When you power the device on you should be greeted with this screen.

Make sure United Kingdom is selected and hit Yes.

Keyboard layout:

If your keyboard looks like this, select United States.
If your keyboard looks like this, select United Kingdom.

Select 'Skip' when asked about a second keyboard layout.

If you have previously connected an ethernet cable, you should see 'Connected' at the top of the screen.

If you haven’t previously connected an ethernet cable, connect to a strong WiFi network.

Click 'Accept' on the Licence Agreement screen.

Select 'Set up for an organisation' and hit 'Next'.

Enter your work email address as supplied.

Make sure you:

Do NOT enter your personal email address or any address other than the work email you have been issued.
Do NOT select “Domain join instead”.

Use Work Email and Pass

After you’ve entered your work email address, enter your password.

New Staff

Sent to your personal email address.

a.	Let Microsoft and apps use your location.	Select Yes.
b.	Find my device.	Select Yes.
c.	Send Required diagnostic data.	Click Accept
d.	Improve inking & typing.	Select Yes and click Accept.
e.	Get tailored experiences with diagnostic data.	Select Yes and click Accept
f.	Let apps use advertising ID.	Select No and click Accept

Your setup is now complete
